Let’s re-invent pizza night! Even our old favorites get humdrum sometimes. French Bread Pizzas are a fun way to change things up a bit without making it too fussy.

These come together in no time at all. If you have the bread sliced, cheese shredded and toppings prepped, you can throw them together in the time it takes to preheat the oven on those nights when you have little time to get dinner made and on the table.

Not only that, but this is so much more then just a easy Weeknight Favorite. How fun would these be for a teenagers sleepover? Or a lunch when you have lots of family staying with you? Each person can customize their own pizza to their exact likes.

14 oz. loaf soft French bread

16 oz. or so jar of pizza sauce

14-16 oz. mozzarella, shredded

Topping choices: green olives, black olives, pineapple, green peppers, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, onions, Canadian bacon, sausage, pepperoni

Preheat oven to 425˚.

Slice loaf in 4 equal pieces, then take each of those and slice the long way – open faced style. Lay all 8 pieces of bread on a cookie sheet. Spread each piece with pizza sauce. Use a bit more then you normally would; the French bread absorbs some of the sauce. Sprinkle about ¾ of the mozzarella over the bread pieces. Then, top with your choice of toppings. Take the remaining mozzarella and sprinkle evenly over all 8 pieces.

Bake for 15-18 minutes until desired doneness.
